Are you doing your best to be healthy, but you’re still not seeing results? It could be that your healthy habits are skyrocketing your cortisol levels. That’s the stress hormone that drains your energy, blocks weight loss, and it can disrupt your sleep.

The conventional approach to being healthy, the do-it-yourself way, can backfire. Even when people try their best to eat healthily and eat less, work out even more and more, and then stock up on muscle-building foods like protein bars. Eat less and exercise more. That’s what we’ve all been taught forever is what we need to do. And there’s a reason for this discouragement in this frustrating cycle.

When it comes to healthy habits, there are few things that you want to keep in mind:

  1. We want to focus on the current state of your body and how stressed out you are. More specifically, how stressed your adrenal glands are. Those are the glands that put cortisol in your body.
  2. Eating foods that are high in processed sugars. They’re going to spike your insulin, right, and that’s going to tell your body to store fat, not to burn it and lose it. That’s the opposite of what most people are trying to do.

So when it comes to diet and exercise, it’s so important to consider your hormonal health. And take that into account and understand what kind of diet and exercise plan is good for you, your situation, and your hormones.

It’s essential to help you connect the dots and figure out what’s best for you and your hormonal health situation.
